Parent-Child Therapy

The Parent-Child relationship is the most important bond in a child's life.  According to Attachment Theory and research, nurturing and dependable relationships with caregivers are the building blocks of healthy childhood development.  I firmly believe that having a supportive, responsive, caring and loving bond between a child and their parent is the strongest "safety net" against the development of behavioral and mental health issues.  I work with parents and children who are struggling with their relationship to help them re-establish the bond they both desperately are seeking.  Using concepts and techniques associated with Corrective Attachment Parenting and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy I will work with you and your child to help you both heal relational wounds.  I aim to help parents and their children learn to trust, be emotionally vulnerable, and genuinely connect with each other in safe and gratifying ways.
